Don King, on Mike Tyson

"Why would anyone expect him to come out smarter?
He went to prison, not to Princeton."

"To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music
and the dancers hit each other."

It has been said that having an exercise buddy can be a powerful tool in your fitness program.   That's certainly the case for Mel Standring and Clifford Walker, who have been working out consistently together for the past six years.  And the dynamic duo show absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Walker, a retired school principal who will be 69 in May, was introduced to Standring, also retired and on the verge of turning 70 when he wanted to take up boxing.  Both are longtime members of Montreal's downtown YMCA and both are incredibly fit.

The two box for 30 minutes twice a week- with no break something highly unusual, according to fellow YMCA member Patrick Tee, who brought their prowess to my attention.

"Men much younger than these two superstars take breaks every three minutes," he pointed out.  "They really are in extraordinary shape."
